Adam Riddell, Owner/Operator
Adam Riddell is the owner/operator of Yellow Breeches Handyman. He spent his teen years and summers working with his family’s construction company in Bucks County, PA, learning the ins and outs of home repair and renovations. He paid his way through undergraduate university as a groundskeeper where he strengthened his work ethic shoveling Chicago’s lake effect snow at 5am in -10 degree weather. In the summer months, he took pride in maintaining the soccer field he played on while on scholarship. As a homeowner for the past decade, there isn’t much he hasn’t replaced, repaired or upgraded in his own home. He always has a “list” of projects and visions- perhaps you do too! He launched Yellow Breeches Handyman in 2025 after a 15 year career in International Development where he worked in Humanitarian Crisis Response in over 30 countries, working both abroad and out of Washington, D.C.
Adam has lived in a variety of dwellings all around the world: a canvas safari tent with a homemade bed made of cut down trees in a refugee camp in South Sudan, a typhoon damaged hotel on a golf course in the Philippines, a half finished, not-yet opened hotel chalet with a grass roof in a recently flooded area in Mozambique, and too many guest houses, apartments, and hotels to count. Such experiences have shaped his value of the “home”- a place to rest, retreat to safety, host and share meals with others, and a place to beautify, personalize and make your own.
He is married to his wife Stephanie, a father to two amazing children and though initially reluctant, he’s also a proud cat dad to two adopted felines. He resides in Dickinson Township and loves living in the scenic Cumberland Valley!
